We caught up with producer extrordinaire Harmony who has worked with the likes of Kelly Rowland and Styles P. He is a true ambassodor for UK talent, here is what he had to say.
Intrigue: Listening to your show reel and material you have worked on with several artists, one could easily say your productions skills are a force to be reckoned with, not only in the UK but in the US. When did you realise you had such skills?
Harmony: I guess i realised it when i was like 14 years old.I love making music and i used to make music on my 8 track casio.
cos we could not afford to get me a proper keyboard. I was always a musician, my mum and dad are musicians.
my lil brothers and sister are musicians and singers so i guess it was gonna happen at some stage.

Intrigue: You have worked with some prominent names in the UK such as Craig David and Shola Ama, what was it like working with such artists? And how do you remain grounded when it seems you are rising to the top of your game?
Harmony: Working with great acts such as Craig David, Jamelia, Styles P, Fundamental and Kelly Rowland was an experience i guess its was my time to shine, God helps me through each test,
which helps me build my character. The artists are already successful, but i am on the come up. This gives me energy
to produce music to a high standard not only to impress the artist and label but to show that the UK has great
music too..... music makes me high and i get a real buzz being with it. Its my girl, my life.....
Intrigue: Have you found it hard gain recognition stateside being from the UK?
There is still politics in the us market cos they dont really give you as much ratings till you put a CD on and blow them away...
My boy Dready JD is in Ny right now working with Busta Ryhmes and flipmode, He did exactly the same thing. But once they love you
they really love you. UK Stand Up
Intrigue: What do you think of the music industry in the UK? (Namely the hip hop and rnb scene)
Harmony: Wow, where do I start. I love the UK cos its where i am partly from but at the same time i think the scene needs
a lil more work musically. But we are coming up now, I am happy to be apart of it and help it to grow. We just gotta
keep pushing quality music out continuously for the scene to get stronger. The Uk is on its way up and the US and other parts of the world are taking notice too.
Intrigue: What was it like working with Styles P?
Harmony: Great, he didnt even take 10 minutes in the booth. He is on point and has such a great character. he's a beast. gonna be working with him in the near future once the FDM albums finished

Harmony: The list goes on... Quincey Jones, Teddy Riley, Dr Dre, Darkchild,Richard Harrison and the king of all time for me Sir Timberland Moseley.
He is the wizard for music period. He creates magic and thats who I look up to.
Intrigue:How would you describe your sound?
Harmony: My sound varies from RNB to HipPop to pop and rock but one thing i know is that it bangs through the speakers. Thats my moto. plus its musical
as hell. You will hear Guitars live bass live drums and programmed drums synths and all, I am a sponge with music and use what ever i can to create magic.

Intrigue: You can play many instruments are you self taught?
Harmony: At first i was self taught but i went to university and now i read music, But i still preferr playing by ear.
Intrigue: What inspires you to make such memorable compositions?
Harmony: Everything, from old records from the sixties till now. My inspiration is to always make great music, I cant even say i know wats gonna be memorable but
with every track i make i put my soul into it, its like giving birth to children, You do everything to make your children great.
Intrigue: Do you think it is important for a true musician to be able to play musical instruments??
Harmony:No not really, You just have to have a love for music a have an ear to spot a hit. Diddy is one of the best producers, not because he plays an
instrument but because he can find and make hits.
Intrigue:You are making a name for yourself in the USA on the mixtape scene right? How is this going? And who have you worked with so far?
Harmony: Well working on mre the commercial market now from Kelly Rowland to 2 Much ( Boy Group TUG omarian) Lloyd, my boy MIMS and Solange Knowles
to name a few.
Intrigue:What would be your dream collaboration?
Harmony: My dream is to work with Jay Z. He is the greatest rapper for me, He inspires me to work harder and to look out for other coming up in the industry.
I love the whole ROC family too.
Intrigue:What other projects do you have planned for the future?
Harmony: This year i plan to break new acts onto the scene, Like FDM, my rapper Tha Truth, and alot more. Its important to bring talent to the industry than jsut woking with stars,
its to easy sut working with established artists.
I am working with major labels at a high level so alots coming, The best of Harmony is yet to come. You aint heard nothing yet. Cant say too much though
Intrigue:What are your dreams and aspirations in regards to your music?
Harmony: My dreams is to own my own label, I own my own production comapany ( H-moneymusic Group), but to own my own label would be great, I can develop acts and give them a chance, unlike these
wack majors that sign rubbish. My dream is for my music to be remembered from century to century, kinda like Quincy did with Micheal Jackson.
